Is anything better than plugging in your headphones, firing up your music app of choice, and jamming out to that brand-new song you're obsessed with?

Don't get me wrong; I love my go-to playlists. The classics are great. But something amazing happens when I hear an awesome new track for the first time. I am filled with anticipation, enthusiasm and pure bliss as I wonder to myself, Will the chorus be as good as the hook? or Wait — did I just discover my new favorite artist?!?!

New music is one of the best mood-boosters ever to me, and I want to share it with you. So each week, I'm pulling together the most popular and most exciting new music out there for you to turn on, tune in, drop out to.

Let's get listening. If you have any new pieces of musical gold, leave a link in the comments below. And be sure to check next Friday for a whole new slew of songs.

"Boys & Girls," Will.i.am feat. Pia Mia
Boogie down to this on Saturday night. The colorful music video just dropped on April 7, and gives off a "Hotline Bling" vibe, sans turtlenecks.

Who is he? Say hello to your old friend Will.i.am. Remember The Black Eyed Peas?

"Drop," Chloe x Halle
Their modern, otherworldly sound makes this song impossible to stop listening to. And yes, it's full of drops.

Who are they? This sister duo rose to internet stardom when they started covering Beyoncé songs, and now they're attending the White House Easter Egg Roll with her.

"Waves," Kanye West
So The Life of Pablo has been out for a while now, but West was pretty dead set on keeping the album exclusive to Tidal until earlier this month. Now it's streaming on Spotify and YouTube. "Waves," at one point a potential name for the album, is one of the favorites right now.

Who is he? Come on, it's Yeezy.

"No Money," Galantis
Last year, Galantis brought you two dancesongs that were most likely part of the sound track to your summer. They're back at it again.
Also that "no money" part — relatable.

Who are they? Two songwriters and music producers from Sweden who have worked with other artists ranging from Britney Spears to Icona Pop to Madonna.

"Skipping Stones," Gallant feat. Jhene Aiko
An easy, dreamy, and breezy melodic song best enjoyed with the windows down.

Who is he? Gallant is a 23-year-old R & B singer who released his first album less than two years ago.

"No," Pentatonix (Meghan Trainor Cover)
This cover of Trainor's is so impressive. Even if you're not a huge Trainor fan, give this cover a chance. It's great.

Who are they? A two-time Grammy Award–winning a cappella group—kind of like a real-life Pitch Perfect, but better.

"No Broken Hearts," Bebe Rexha feat. Nicki Minaj
A dance-worthy track featuring a fun verse by Minaj.

Who is she? The singer and songwriter co-wrote the single, and was in a band with Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz before pursuing a solo career.

"Show Me Love," Hundred Waters feat. Chance the Rapper, Moses Sumney, Robin Hannibal (remixed by Skrillex)
Combine some airy vocals, a Chance the Rapper verse or two, and a Skrillex dash of electro-pop, and you end up with this genre-blending single.

Who are they? Hundred Waters is an indie rock-folk band out of Florida whose songs have attracted a wide range of attention from many different genres, as seen by the featured artists in this song.

"Peter Pan," Kelsea Ballerini
A sweet pop-country song about a boy who just can't grow up reminds us of another song released this week from Jennifer Lopez, and the newest Powerpuff Girl villain.

Who is she? The 22-year-old country singer recently won New Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards and had a few chart-topping singles in 2015.
