Most of us didn’t really think about the kind of effect our brows could have on our look before Cara Delevingne took the fashion world by storm with her signature arches. Now, instead of plucking our brows within a millimeter of their lives, we’re finding out how we can replace what we lost and make what we have look bolder than ever.
The brow products that have taken over beauty counters fill in sparse spaces, extend the length, and tint the hairs. But with an array of formulas on the market, choosing the one can be tricky.
And that’s where we come in. The following slides will help you figure out the best brow product for your look and lifestyle — because no one wants to accidentally wipe away their brows in the middle of a sweat session.
Brow Pencil
First things first: You have to know the shape of your brows. If you're not sure, begin identifying the shape of your arches by measuring up from your tear duct. This should be where your brow begins. Then measure from the corner of your nose to the outside of your iris to find your arch. Next, measure from the corner of your nose to the outer corner of your eye to find the tail. You can then start shaping and defining according to your unique measurements.
After that, fill in any gaps in your natural brows with small, light strokes to mimic the look of the hairs. Finish the look by brushing the products through the brow using a spoolie, which looks like a mascara wand, to tame any stray hairs.
Remember: Your pencil needs to stay sharp for that fine, hair-like finish every time.

Brow Powder
Powders offer a subtle way to fill in gaps. They often come in a palette with added wax to catch stray hairs and set them into the shape you want.

Eyebrow Pomade
Pomades look similar to gel eyeliners (they also come in pots) and give you the freedom to reshape your brows like the makeup mavens on your social feed. But they require angled eyeliner brushes, so you'll want to invest in one first.
Pro tip: For extra-bold brows, go a shade darker than your natural color, but keep your hand light — no solid lines of color.

Eyebrow Gel
Gels work like mascaras, allowing you to brush the product directly onto your brows to tame stray hairs and fill in any sparse areas.
