Jodie Sweetin celebrated a big milestone this March. And this time, it isn't Fuller House-related. The actress commemorated the five-year anniversary of being sober. It has been a long, and at times perilous, journey for Sweetin to reach this milestone and she expressed her gratitude toward not only her current health, but also her current relationship.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Sweetin opened up about what she has learned over the past half decade of her life. “I look back at things that have happened in the past, and I look at where I’m now, and it’s crazy,” she told them. “If anything, my life is a lesson to never give up.”

Sweetin, the mother of two daughters, Zoie, 7, with ex-husband Cody Herpin, and Beatrix, 5, with ex-husband Morty Coyle, also acknowledged the demons that haunted her up until five years ago. “We all have our demons,” she said. "When we finally learn to let them go, we get to live and be free.”

Her fiancé, Justin Hodak, is also leading a sober lifestyle and has been for 11 years. Sweetin spoke warmly of this relationship to the magazine, thanking him for his support. “We turn to each other for support," she said. "We both have our own lives and things we’re excited about, but we combine that, where we have this great relationship.”

Pro tip: Do not get dressed based on what the weather looks like outside your bedroom window. At least, not right now. The clear skies and shining sun are particularly deceiving — and dressing for their lies will only leave you disappointed and very cold. With all these erratic temperature dips, it’s time to rethink your outerwear situation, because you’ll definitely need an extra layer until the weather decides to play nice.

Since parkas and puffers are depressing, why not explore the plethora of lightweight jacket options, instead? This season’s offerings include a variety of chic styles — kimono wraps, femme bombers, printed blazers, and more — that will keep you just warm enough during these in-between times. Click through for 15 spring jackets you’ll love. These picks are guaranteed to have more chill than the weather right now.

Meredith Grey's First Post-McDreamy Sleepover Did Not Go Well

Nothing is easy for Grey's Anatomy's Meredith Grey. Not dating and certainly not dating after the love of her life and father of her children, McDreamy himself, died.

But in the world of Grey's, there's no rest for the single. So, healing heart (and throat and arm) and all, Grey has put herself back into the dating world. And though she seemed to really like Dr. Stalker a few episodes ago, a clip from the show's next episode shows their morning after did not go well.

It's actually sweet to see Mer's sister so protective of her as Meredith screeches for her bed buddy to be thrown out of the house. The man in question insists he didn't do anything and it seems likely that he is innocent of any wrongdoing (the writers know it's time to give Dr. Grey a break).

What is likely? Meredith probably had a nice night and woke up with a smile on her face, possibly in a half dream, thinking it was her late husband beside her. The realization that McDreamy would never hog the covers again (coupled with a possible guilt spiral over filling his side of the bed) may have led to the yelling. Fans will have to wait until tomorrow night to learn exactly what new discussion poor Dr. Grey can start having with her therapist.

How To Use Accessories To Take Your Look From Basic To Boss

$
0
0
We've all heard the same style advice over and over again: A black leather crossbody and a timeless pair of sunnies will get you far. True, but what happens when winter turns to spring? It's only natural to crave super-cute add-ons for a fresh look when a new season calls for it.

That's why we teamed up with Fossil to find the best (and in some cases, smartest) accessories out there that aren't quite so expected. Ahead, we'll prove that a scarf in a rainbow of colors or a sleek boss-lady smartwatch is the perfect way to take your look to the next level. Read on for the new essentials and a little encouragement to liven up your accessories arsenal as well as your everyday wears — you'll be glad you did.

Spring For A Versatile Scarf
Your chambray shirt and jeans make up a dependable outfit year after year, and with a few small tweaks, you can keep up this look's winning streak. Try a new denim style (our fave this season is the cropped flare), and pair with a colorful, striped scarf and heels in a can't-miss shade of marigold. As for the chambray, upgrade to a crisp, light-blue shirt that ties at the waist for a feminine take on the basic button-up.

Forever 21 jeans, Topshop scarf, Charles and Keith mules, ASOS top.

Lighten Your Load With A Half-Moon Bag
Ditch your heavy tote for a sleeker silhouette, such as a half-moon style. To contrast your recycled navy, suede skirt from the winter, go with tan and olive accessories that lighten the palette. Add a sultry floral print to top everything off, and don't forget to nix the tights and boots.

Whistles skirt, VBH bag, Vince mules, Reiss top.

Update Your Gear
This is the perfect season to hit refresh, which includes switching up your everyday items for smarter, savvier pieces. Stash your winter brogues in favor of chunky, all-white soles and your black crossbody in exchange for a bag in a dusty pink hue. And never miss a notification (or a weather update!) with a Fossil Q Wearable, like this one in stainless steel.

Topshop dress, Saint Laurent bag, ASOS shoes, & Other Stories earrings.

Break Out Your Statement Sunnies
This spring, it's all about the retro shades. Opt for a pair in a neutral color combination that complements anything yet doesn't blend in too much. Pair them with a chambray jumpsuit, sandals with a patriotic tilt, and a bag in your favorite shade of bright for a throw-on-and-go ensemble that packs a punch.

Madewell jumpsuit, Kara bag, Charles and Keith sandals, Opening Ceremony x Gentle Monster sunglasses.

Opt For A Season-Less Shoe
It's tempting to break out a sundress and sandals ASAP when temps start to rise. But at least try to ease into this tricky transitional time. Sturdy block-heeled mules keep the look from going too far into warm-weather territory, while a pastel handbag amplifies the moody, abstract florals of the dress.

& Other Stories dress, Charles and Keith mules, Reiss jacket, Mango earrings.

Ariana Grande Wants To Join Taylor Swift’s Squad

Ariana Grande may be a dangerous woman as of May 20, but she doesn’t consider herself too dangerous to join forces with Reading, PA’s favorite daughter. Capital FM DJ Roman Kent asked if Grande would be interested in joining forces with Taylor Swift and she responded in the affirmative.

“Oh wow,” Grande said. “That would be so crazy. Do you have to do anything weird to get in? I don’t know the details. All those girls are really nice. I would be so down.”

The two have met before. Witness this hug backstage at the Grammys and this photo of the pair embracing on Swift’s Instagram.

Oh my God she couldn't be cuter. @arianagrande

A photo posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

They’ve also been giving mutual props on Twitter for quite some time, notably here.

The pair also performed together at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, although that predated some rumored beef between the two. We’re guessing things have been patched up by now and there’s no more…bad blood (sorry) between the singers.

Grande would be a perfect complement to the squad since Swift grew up on a Christmas tree farm (yes, really) and Grande is the size of a Christmas ornament. They're a match made in heaven, or at least the North Pole.

The Story Behind the #BernieMadeMeWhite Hashtag

Throughout the 2016 election season, one narrative has played out repeatedly — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders can't relate to Black voters. Larry David, impersonating Sanders, even poked fun at it during a Saturday Night Live skit, saying his "crush" was "every Black person in America."

Sanders does have strong support among largely white, middle-class voters, a fact that is highlighted by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's backing from many African-Americans. When Sanders won caucuses in Washington state, Hawaii, and Alaska last weekend, some news organizations reported his wins as being partly due to the states' small Black populations. That didn't sit well with people of color who support Sanders' presidential campaign — and some took to Twitter to say so.

Leslie Lee III, a Sanders supporter who is Black, created the hashtag #BernieMadeMeWhite in what he told Refinery29 was a bid to bring progressives of all races together in their discussion of the election.

"There's a lot more to diversity than just African-Americans, and that is an erasure that's happening in this election, where everyone but the Black vote in the South of people over 40 has basically been ignored by the media," Lee said. He added that when the hashtag started trending on Twitter, it was used by Asian-American, Hispanic-American, and Native American people who support Sanders.

Zaira Livier, founder of Latinas for Bernie, told Refinery29 that the notion Sanders doesn't resonate with voters of color "is a myth created purposely to not only discredit his campaign but to be used as a tool to deter voters."

"We are here, we are Brown, we support Bernie, and we aren't going anywhere," Livier told Refinery29.

But while #BernieMadeMeWhite sparked political dialogue (and jokes) among Bernie supporters, others didn't respond as well to the hashtag. Saad Chaudry, a Muslim-American who tweeted using the hashtag, told Refinery29 that he received a number of racist and threatening images and tweets after posting a photo of his family, who voted for Sanders. "Muslims have become used to messages like this online, it's commonplace," Chaudry told Refinery29.

Similarly, Janeth Davidson, a Sanders supporter who lives in Texas, told Refinery29 that after she tweeted her support for Bernie with the hashtag, she's been the recipient of online harassment. "Since tweeting #BernieMadeMeWhite, I have been harassed by people telling me to go back to my country," Davidson told Refinery29.

The hashtag has struck a chord with many Sanders supporters who are frustrated with being reduced to exit poll numbers or categorized as "Bernie Bros," Lee told Refinery29.

"I saw a lot of other Bernie supporters who were frustrated at the narrative that basically, Bernie Sanders not just doesn't win the Black vote, but can't connect... with minorities in general. And it basically erases us and the reasons why we support him. We're reduced to, basically, a few exit poll numbers."

Baywatch, the movie. Will it be more Baewatch or more No-Waywatch? We’re definitely leaning towards the former after a new photo of the cast was posted to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Instagram.

Along with the photo, Johnson posited and answered a series of questions. Here’s his caption:

“EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Our entire #BAYWATCH squad.

Are we bad ass? Yes.

Do we save lives? All day.

Are we a dysfunctional family? Epically.

Do we have fun? F*CK YES.

We work hard, we play hard.@thejonbass@alexannadaddario@kellyrohrbach@ilfenator@zacefron

#BAYWATCH Get ready world... MAY 19, 2017.

(and yes, I'm the king of the #FargoStrut.. squared circle historians know what that means.. #OurBelovedMemphisTerritory woo!)”

From left to right, the cast includes Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson himself, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, and Zac Efron. We’re guessing that Jon Bass will be providing the comic relief. (He’s wearing flip-flops, that's how you can tell.)

Previously the cast had shared individual photos, including a muscle contest, but this is the most complete look at the cast in costume we’ve had to date.

The film will be directed by Seth Gordon, who began his career by directing King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters, a documentary about the battle for the high score in the arcade version of Donkey Kong. Since then, he’s directed family comedies, the most recent of which was Pixels. So maybe that's one for the No-Waywatch column?

Baywatch
will be in theaters on May 19, 2017.

You’ve Been Playing It Too Safe With Your Jewelry

In 2004, Jules Kim was a promoter, DJ, and completely tapped into the NYC nightlife scene. Then, things changed. She wanted to create something a bit more long-lasting than a wild party story, the Richmond, VA, native tells us. However, the something she was referring to involved precious metals, diamonds, and truly unique silhouettes that reimagine traditional jewelry shapes. So, as a “direct response to making nothing but trouble in the club,” she says, the Bijules brand was born.

While we’ve heard plenty of stories of DJs and club kids who've crossed over into the world of design, it’s been over a decade since Kim first hit it big with the still-popular bar ring — a style that sits on one finger, but extends, in a curve, across the others — that's been worn by celebrities worldwide and has become a signature piece in her line. But while chatting with her, it became clear that it's not just her commitment to longevity that's making this artist so successful. She’s also not afraid to criticize the industry she works in, calling it "boring" and "stagnant." Is it surprising to hear that from a jewelry designer? Sure. But it's this desire to rewrite industry standards that's taken Kim so far.

In the spirit of celebrating strong vision and unique POVs comes our final installment of The Next Set. Together with Kit and Ace— and its own mold-breaking take on technical fabrics — we got the full story on how to carve a space for yourself in an already established industry and what it'll take for Kim to create a heritage brand of her very own.

02_Jules Kim_byAingeruZoritaLeft: Kit and Ace top, 3.1 Phillip Lim pants, Dune shoes, and Bijules jewelry. Right: Kit and Ace top and pants, and Bijules jewelry.

You’re pretty vocal about being a past — and still, present — part of NYC nightlife. What has that taught you about jewelry?
"Nightlife is a tough place. It’s dark and people start to match its darkness if they are not careful. For me, NYC parties and clubs were the meeting point for a tight group of fresh minds and blossoming talents with a whole lot to prove. Promoting became my social connection and I learned that this passion, to share what I loved, would be my true calling. When I sell Bijules, either in my own shop on the Bowery or during market [appointments], I am selling a part of myself and my experiences as a human being.”

What was the first piece of jewelry you ever sold?
“I made graffiti nameplates as my entry into the fashion world. I was spinning my Monday weekly at Ludlow Bar (no longer) and an editor came in and died over my street take on the Sex And The City 'Carrie' nameplate. I ran with graffiti heads, so I commissioned them to create handstyles. Then, I’d make necklaces for whomever wanted them. Once the celebs heard of me, it was just a matter of time for Bijules to be born.”

03_Jules Kim_byAingeruZoritaKit and Ace top, 3.1 Phillip Lim pants, and Bijules jewelry.

Your jewelry style, with its curved lines and unconventional placements, are incredibly unique. How do you think you stand out in this industry?
“A unique point of view is much more valuable than just having one. I honed my own way of seeing the world through a crazy childhood and equally crazy adulthood. In fact, the amalgamation of life experiences substantiated such a strong will to rebel that I chose the most boring market to invade: jewelry.”

Really? Boring?
“I surveyed the fine jewelry sector in 2004 and could not personally relate to anything other than its materials. There was no consideration for a new aesthetic or a driven style. I began designing for myself and quickly understood I was carving my own 1% space in a 99% battlefield. For me, the fine-jewelry industry seemed feeble, desperate for attention, and needed a final chance at survival. I thought to myself, I am going to save it. Everyone plays it safe. The jewelry industry likes to repeat patterns and is not interested in risk-taking. I like to break molds and defy standards. We are an interesting match.”

It seems like you went about creating iconic pieces of your own, like the nail ring or the bar ring. Do you imagine these will become keepsake pieces for your customers for the long haul?
“These are most definitely iconic pieces for the Bijules brand. They were the first. Once I understood how to throw weight in the market, I also launched the Handlet (2010), Knuckle Ring (2008), and Phalange Cocktail Ring (2011). All of these iconic pieces have been playing in the market since their release. To isolate an original idea and encourage a trend also means protecting them. In order to protect them, the pieces themselves are branded as Bijules so the client can appreciate the history and build their own keepsakes.”

04_Jules Kim_byAingeruZoritaKit and Ace dress and wrap, and Bijules jewelry.

What do you think will change for Bijules 10 or 20 years?
“I see my work as a permanent extension of who I am. Therefore, I can say that I will be designing for a long time. In 10 years, there will be more amazing product, but also more experiences to parallel the jewelry, from stores to shop-in-shops, etc. Eventually, I would like the edge of Bijules to be just as understood as the tradition of Tiffany's."

What’s it going to take to get there? Are there other brands for inspiration?
“Creating new heritage takes some time. It means embracing a fresh way of celebrating life and its moments. I make ritual pieces that honor straight marriage, gay marriage, divorce, new birth, death, and ultimately, one’s self. To be honest, I keep my head to the stone and have narrow periphery — I look to maisons like Cartier, Mauboussin, Bulgari, and Chaumet for heritage references in business.”

Okay, real talk: You’ve got access to all amazing pieces in the Bijules collection, but what are the ones you find yourself wearing every day? What else is a part of your daily uniform?
“I never stop wearing my 18k gold handlet and stackable diamond rings. They are all representative of over a decade of jewelry style evolution. My wardrobe consists of lots of Phillip Lim, body suits by Alix NYC, and designer vintage.”

What's been the most difficult part for you in carving a place for yourself in an industry with a lot of competition?
“My work is seemingly inimitable, but it is copied by many. I must admit, I am thrown off each time I am exposed to Bijules knockoffs and derivative brands and designers. It takes nerve to be inconsiderate! This issue has been a tough pill to swallow as I continue to press on with courageous designs and trend-making concepts. The territory I began in bares no semblance to what it has become now; therefore, success has had to take its time as do all good things we must wait for.”

And lastly, what's next? Are there any other aspects of the jewelry or fashion industry that you’d like to turn on its head?
“Haha, yes — heads will roll! Let’s just say that I hope to help consolidate a better understanding between the two industries for the near future. The world of jewelry is severely attached to stagnant traditions in design, business, and manufacturing. Most of the industry is family-owned and maintained. As I have been working in both the jewelry and the fashion industries, I find it natural to want to align the creative process into a quality-made gold product with forward-thinking concepts. In the meantime, watch for an amazing video collaboration to drop soon!”

In case the cave you've been living in hasn't seen any light, you may have noticed two skyscrapers walking around Instagram, the tabloids, and every avenue of the internet. And no, we're not talking about cloud-grazing buildings sprouting legs and strutting around town. We're talking about the tallest Jenner of the bunch: Kendall.

Model, spokesperson, danseuse — it seems there's nothing the quietest Kardashian can't do. And when it comes to style accolades, the photos ahead prove it. With every event — whether it be a Starbucks run or a red carpet — Kendall keeps things kool. Here are some of our favorite looks lewks.

Leg first, Kendall braves the cameras.

Hey, let us borrow that top.

We can't get past the fact that this looks like the comfiest jumpsuit ever.

A fur stole worth more than our rents combined, Kendall celebrates the Fendi store opening in Rome.

The coat, we get, but the midriff makes us rethink our conclusion...maybe juxtaposition is back in fashion.

Annie Hall trousers make everything better, especially when paired with a long sleeve bandeau top.

Got a dress but the slit's too high? Wear it over pants and call it a day.

We're just glad those ties getting get caught in the door.

A beanie and sunglasses combo. says No pictures, please.

Those boots were seriously made for walking.

The unexpected combination of a trucker hat and a camel coat is one of the reasons we love Kendall's off-duty wardrobe.

Even right next to the runway, Kendall stands out in luxury basics.

"Mom, am I still trying to convince you money actually grows on trees?"

Cover up, it's going to be a cold one.

No, but really. Cover up.

If that jacket's reversible, let's just all call it a day and go home.

When your brother-in-law is Kanye West, a hoodie and a denim jacket is kind of married into your wardrobe.

No, a moth didn't attack Kendall on the street. It's just Yeezy Season 3.

Sunglasses? Check. Floor-length coat? Check. Crop top? Check. Bag that doubles as a pillow? Check.

Some serious shoe envy going on here.

*insert Blue steele joke here*

This is what money looks like.

This Pam & Gela side-slit sweatshirt has our names written all over it. Well, in between those killer holes, obviously.

The only way to exit Chanel couture is like a boss.

To fringe or not to fringe? That is never the question.

For some reason, this actually looks so appropriate for traveling.

A vintage tee and leather jacket is an unexpected way to dress up your activewear.

Too chic to [give a] fleek.

All black — well, almost all black — is always a good answer.

Pulling an Angelina in Versace, obviously.

We wonder how she tweets in those sleeves...

No, no. Nothing to see here. Just your simple Givenchy T-shirt dress.

Looks like Kendall knows what Pantone's color of the year is...

There are three pom-poms in this picture (two of which are on Jenner's Oriett Domenech dress). Can you spot the third?

If you look close enough, this Calvin Klein dress isn't fur, but...

Remember: Comfort is key.

This Calvin Klein keyhole — er, circle — number makes us want to grab our hole punchers and get to work. (Just kidding.) (Or are we?)

If the Statue of Liberty were a 20-year-old supermodel dressed in Calvin Klein at the Met Gala...

Because a lace slip dress never goes out of style. Obviously.

The jumpsuit (this one is by Emilio Pucci) must be the new power suit.

Business casual done right.

We still can't figure out if that's a one-piece in this Olcay Gulsen ensemble, but either way, it works.

Finding Dory's New Characters Have Been Found

Finding Dory is swimming steadily towards its release date. The film, which picks up where Finding Nemo leaves off, is the latest in a seemingly endless series of sequels to classic Pixar films.

This one follows Dory, the Royal Blue Tang that helps find Nemo in the original, as she looks for her own parents. We’ve posted trailers before, but we haven’t yet gotten a full look at the cast. Until now, that is.

Here they are, in all their fishy glory. The highlights are Ed O’Neill’s Hank, an octopus looking for a life of solitude in Cleveland. Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton will play Charlie and Jenny, Dory’s long-lost parents. Back, of course, are the turtles and clownfish father-son team Nemo and Marlin. Idris Elba and Dominic West, late of The Wire, play a pair of presumably wisecracking sea lions. The otter squad, guaranteed, will be your new favorite characters. They might even beat out the Minions, or the penguins, or the severely underrated Pain and Panic from 1997’s Hercules.

With the notable exception of the Toy Story franchise, Pixar's sequels haven’t quite lived up to the quality of the original films. We’ll have to wait until June 17 to find out for sure, but this seems like a better bet to join Toy Story as a success than go the way of Cars 2. Who knows, maybe they’ll swim by Mater’s rusted corpse at the bottom of the ocean. That’s probably too much to ask, and a little too dark for Pixar, but we can dream.

Dive into theatres on June 17 to meet new characters and see some familar faces in Disney/Pixar's Finding Dory!

Inside Chloë Grace Moretz’s $3.4 Million "Starter" Mansion

Chloë Grace Moretz, feminist hero, needed a kickass mansion in which to kick back and watch herself in Kick-Ass.

The 19-year-old actress doesn’t feel the need for a squad, but her new mansion could certainly house one. Moretz, who unforgettably starred in Korean SNL, plunked down a cool $3.4 million for a home, her first, in Studio City, CA. Her five-bed, six-bath has been described as a “starter home,” but that’s only true in an extremely technical sense.

$3.4 million gets you 5,592-square feet worth of Spanish estate in a cul-de-sac with a two-story entry and a gourmet kitchen. The master suite has a sitting room, a fireplace, two walk-in closets, and a huge master bathroom. That suite literally sounds like a house in and of itself.

Moretz will be able to rehearse scenes for her upcoming role inThe Little Mermaid in the outside area. The backyard includes a pool, spa, and waterfall, as well as a structure that would be perfect for watching dailies.

It also looks like the perfect place at which to stage the types of parties featured in Neighbors 2, another film in which she’s starring.

As long as she stays away from Twitter feuding with Kim Kardashian, this place should be a paradise.

Whoopi Goldberg Launches Cannabusiness To Cure Cramps

Legendary comedian and The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg will launch a line of medical marijuana products aimed at calming menstrual cramps, Vanity Fairreports.

Goldberg has teamed up with “canna-businesswoman” Maya Elisabeth of Om Edibles, a medical marijuana company in northern California founded by women. The new company (called Maya & Whoopi) will roll out a line of “cannabis edibles, tinctures, topical rubs, and a THC-infused bath soak” in April 2016.

Goldberg has long been outspoken about her medical cannabis use to treat glaucoma and other ailments.

“For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort,” she told VF.“Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.”

This particular application of cannabinoids isn’t exactly new, however. Whoopi's just betting that it's an all-natural pain reliever women will find preferable to popping a Midol. With legal cannabis projected to become a $20 billion industry in the U.S. by 2020, that women entrepreneurs are jumping in early is changing the conversation on how we treat our sexual health.

Maya & Whoopi will also include products without the high: Cannabidiol (CBD) gives the pain-relieving benefits without any psychoactive effects. Because in the endearingly awkward words of Conan O’Brien, vaginal-localized products like Foria’s medical marijuana cramp-relievers and sexual lubricant don’t get you high, they just get your clitoris/uterus high.

20 Non-Traditional Wedding Outfits For The Fashion-Forward Bride

Cultural traditions have a funny way of becoming widely adopted without being understood from a historical perspective. And what tradition carries as much visual significance in the western world as a pretty, white wedding gown? (We could have just said "wedding," but the popularity of Say Yes to the Dress convinces us otherwise.)

But the tradition of that snowy gown has only been around for 160-odd years. We can thank Queen Victoria and her taste for cream lace in her 1840 wedding for the pristine white (or ivory) gowns we so closely associate with nuptials now. Before the queen's walk down the aisle, brides wore dresses that spanned across the entire color spectrum, mostly choosing the best thing they could find in their closet. Modern women, on the other hand, are feeling more empowered by their individuality. The biggest bridal trends lean toward indie designers, unique non-diamond engagement rings, and Pinterest posts dedicated to novel ceremony setups.

If you want to walk a different path on your big day — or just spend less money — we're with you. So, we’ve found stunning “I do” outfits you can buy ASAP. From colorful gowns to the ecru pantsuit your heart has been searching for, here are 20 outfits for the non-traditional bride.

Despite Kanye West's strong statements that The Life Of Pablo would be a Tidal exclusive, it appears that his album will be coming to all other streaming services, according to a Mashable report.

Taylor Swift dis track “Famous” and Kanye self-love anthem “I Love Kanye” have been made available on Spotify, Apple Music, and the recently launched Soundcloud Go. But Kanye doesn't plan to stop there; Mashable says the whole album will come to all relevant streaming services this Friday.

It's notable that Friday also is April Fools' Day, which would make this news especially cruel, even for Kanye. However, it's more than a little awkward considering his previous statements on the matter.

The report comes as a huge blow to Tidal, which had seen its subscriptions reportedly double after the West exclusive.

But don't go cancelling your subscription just yet. Beyoncé's album is rumored to be arriving on Friday or April 8 at the latest. Also, you wouldn't want to hurt Jay Z’s feelings. He's given you so many nice things and all he asks is $20 a month to stream songs in high definition.

That said, we wonder what Jay Z thinks about his protege reneging on a forever promise to his streaming service. We guess having millions of dollars and being married to Beyoncé probably helps, though.

Ariana Grande Is A "Dangerous Woman" In Sexy New Video

There's something different about Ariana Grande in her just-released video for "Dangerous Woman," but we can't quite put our finger on it. Oh, wait, yes we can. For once, she's ditched her signature high ponytail. She's also ditched her clothes.

The pop star writhes around in lingerie as she coos lines like, "Something 'bout you makes me feel like a dangerous woman." Let's just say it's a far cry from her work on Sam & Cat.

It's a sexy song, but plot-wise, the video leaves something to be desired. It's titled "Dangerous Woman (Visual 1)," which implies that more is to come, however. Perhaps "Visual 2" will feature a love interest. Some commenters are already suggesting Zayn Malik for the role. People, we like the way you think.

Empire Season 2 Spring Premiere Recap: "Death Will Have His Way"

The first half of Empire's second season was like that significant other with whom things were getting serious, but who starts acting like a brand-new person once you've been together for a while. You find yourself stepping back and thinking, Who ARE you? So now that you’ve called them out on their shit, your boo is trying to come clean and start over fresh. That’s what this second half of season 2 is supposed to do: serve up a good time like we used to have, some good laughs, and, hopefully, good writing. We started out so good together Empire. We can BE something. Don’t screw this up for us!

Even series creator Lee Daniels admitted that things went a little funky last year with season 2 during a panel discussion at PaleyFest earlier this month. “We were going through growing pains and I think it would have happened to any show. Though we remained #1 we were [still] learning,” he admitted. So, I’m putting him to the test. Has Empire learned its lesson? Can we continue what started out as a beautiful relationship?

Lee said he was scaling back on the menagerie of celebrity guests floating in and out of Empire. And I have to say he held true to that promise. Naomi Campbell reprises her role as the evil cougar Camilla Marks, with her paws all over Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) — even though she’s married to Mimi Whiteman (Marisa Tomei). But Campbell’s less of a cameo and more of a secondary cast member at this point. There were no other celebrity surprises, and we're kind of relieved.

One of the biggest cliffhangers from the first half of the season is actually addressed: What in God’s name would Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) and Lucious (Terrence Howard) do once they got their hands on their backstabbing son Hakeem. Remember: He was the deciding vote that allowed Empire to be snatched from its founder Lucious. It's a broom handle-wielding Cookie who gets to Hakeem first. She's waiting for him at the doe’.

cookiePhoto: Courtesy of Chuck Hodes/FOX.

But Cookie’s brutal broomstick beating is nothing compared to Lucious’ reaction. After explaining to Hakeem that the reason he killed Bunkie was because the guy tried to come between Lucious and his Empire — he puts a gun in his youngest son’s hand and basically tells him to execute his dad, so Lucious won’t have to “Bunkie” his own son, too. Hakeem refuses. Now it’s Lucious’ move.

Camilla assumes her duties running Empire and offers Hakeem the CEO position — if he kicks his girlfriend (whom she refers to as “Mexican” as if it were a dirty word) to the proverbial curb. At first, Hakeem is torn — but, like all Lyons, he strives to be king of his jungle, and eventually caves. He picks a fight with the virginal Laura (Jamila Velazquez) and grabs the crown — in a horrible suit I might add. Then, of course, he turns back around and grabs Laura’s virginity.

empire-spring-premierePhoto: Courtesy of Chuck Hodes/FOX.

Jamal (Jussie Smollett) — whom Cookie told to “get his gay back” in order to preserve his relationship with his LGBT fan base — has a plan to get Cookie back into Empire and eventually take it over from the inside. He threatens to leak his album, since Cookie's rival Lyon Dynasty owns it. The plan works, and Cookie is in!

The second huge cliffhanger — who pushed poor Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday) down the stairs? — has begun to unravel. We learn in an appropriately melodramatic way that the spill did in fact cause her to lose her and Andre’s (Trai Byers) baby. She has no recollection of someone — in red-soled flats — trying to do her in. Sneaky Anika (Grace Gealey) comes sniffing around her hospital room — belly full of the next heir by default — just to make sure Rhonda is none the wiser that Anika is (probably) the owner of those guilty shoes. But Rhonda has a flash of memory of the tragic fall, and now it’s only a matter of time before she remembers that a Louboutin-clad creep tried to do away with her.

Yes, Empire is that significant other trying to win me back. This was a solid date night, so I’m willing to give this relationship another try. But don’t make me regret it, Empire.

The REAL Reason Why 20-Somethings Are So Into Friends

FriendsEMBEDPhoto: NBC/Getty Images.

New York magazine recently published a story about Friends and its impact on pop culture. While working on the piece, writer Adam Sternbergh picked my brain about why I love the show so much, and why I keep coming back to it after all these years. The short answer is, not surprisingly, the nostalgia factor: I re-watch Friends over and over because it takes me back to the '90s. The longer answer involves growing up, feeling comforted, and experiencing a deep sense of belonging.

I fell in love with Friends in 1998. I was 10 years old and in the fifth grade. If you were watching the show live, it was the beginning of season 5; Ross had just said “Rachel” instead of “Emily,” and Monica and Chandler were well on their way to becoming more than friends. I was oblivious to all of this, however, because I watched in syndication on my local WB affiliate. I saw episodes out of order and pieced together the histories and relationships and dynamics over time. It’s not unlike the way we watch TV now: We start after a few seasons have already aired, based on a recommendation from a friend. Even though I was late to the Friends game, I found in the show a new set of, well, friends.

I have a deep connection with Friends — one that can only be achieved from serious repetition. I watched the show in syndication and eventually live, starting somewhere that fall with the fifth season. The moment owning seasons of TV shows on DVD became a thing, I owned all 10, and I watched them over and over. Having Friends on in the background became second nature. It was my go-to source of entertainment and laughter in high school, college, and beyond. It cheered me up after bad days and helped me through bad breakups. Without fail, every episode took me back to the first time I watched it, and filled me with a sense of calm. It still does.

Even though Phoebe didn’t meet Mike through Tinder, that doesn’t render an entire generation clueless about their relationship.

If you’re a Friends fan, there’s a natural tendency to quote the show in everyday conversation, regardless of your age or when you started watching it. I quote it to such a degree that it almost borders on banal; it’s like having inside jokes with myself. A few weeks ago, I met a friend of a friend named Laura, and my first instinct was to point at her and simply shout Laura! in a commanding voice (Joey, season 10, episode 7: “The One with the Home Study”). I would have looked like a crazy person. There’s a certain satisfaction that comes with selecting and reciting the perfect Friends quote for any given situation; it’s the original reaction GIF. Fans adopted phrases like “Oh. My. God!” and “It’s Pors-cha!” long before Tumblr was around, and we quoted them of our own volition. The writing on Friends speaks for itself, and never relied on the internet to surface its best moments; that simply wasn’t an option.

Friends_33016EMBEDVERTPhoto: NBC/Getty Images.

But that’s not everyone’s experience with Friends. In Sternbergh’s article, he talks about younger generations who stumble upon the show on Netflix, or find it because of something they read on the internet. And like generations before them, they too fall in love with the sitcom. But why? What makes the twentysomethings of today care about the twentysomethings of 20 years ago (who are now fortysomethings)? I think it’s the perception that life was easier back then.

The differences between twentysomethings in the '90s and twentysomethings today are obvious. You couldn’t land a date just by swiping right. You couldn’t make plans on the fly like we do now. And there is still a general sense that things were simpler. To my generation — one that remembers life before cell phones and the internet — it’s fun to look back on that time. To a younger generation — one that’s now discovering Friends for the first time — it’s a fascinating peek at what life was like not all that long ago, and a testament to how much has changed. I think people love Friends because it’s real, but also because it’s not too real. No matter what, it always remains lighthearted and funny; even the darkest of major life events are punctuated with a laugh. That’s what a sitcom is supposed to be: a slightly exaggerated version of everyday life that reflects a little part of yourself back to you.

In Sternbergh’s article, I’m quoted saying that it wouldn’t be possible to make an authentic version of Friends starring twentysomethings of today. And I stand by it. At the heart of the show is a group of people who meet up to sit around and talk — a behavior that’s since evolved, because today’s twentysomethings connect through their phones. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just the truth. You could certainly make a show about six friends, but to have them all constantly return to one central meeting point like a coffee shop or someone’s apartment just wouldn’t happen. Because on their way, they’d discover something shinier and prettier to do instead. That’s not to say I don’t think a formal Friends reunion of some sort would work — because I do, and I would cry tears of joy for days if that were to happen — but even with the same six actors, a reboot would look drastically different.

Time period aside, Friends is still a relatable show. Even if you missed the era of being set up on blind dates by friends, you still know what the awkwardness of a first date is like. Even though Phoebe didn’t meet Mike through Tinder, that doesn’t render an entire generation clueless about their relationship. The Friends story lines of the mid-'90s are slightly different, but still timeless enough that today’s twentysomethings can understand and enjoy them. Younger viewers even connect with the nostalgic piece of it all. No, they aren’t reminiscing about being young in that specific era, but the show still reminds them of being younger versions of themselves. Nostalgia inspires nostalgia.

The media has popularized the idea that because Netflix acquired the rights to stream Friends, the show is now somehow “back,” along with tattoo choker necklaces and miniature denim backpacks. But make no mistake: Friends never went anywhere. Yes, Netflix put the show in front of a younger audience who might not have watched it before, but any night of the week, you can also find it playing on TBS, Nick at Nite, and other local broadcast affiliates. Friends coming to Netflix was a big thing for new audiences, but to diehard fans, it’s just another way to get our fix. And even then, it’s still not the preferred way, because Netflix has trimmed the episodes down here and there. I’ll still be using my DVDs with extended scenes, thankyouverymuch.

To this day, I still feel pangs of loneliness and an extreme sense of culmination when I watch “The Last One.” It fills me with the same sadness you feel on the last day of summer camp. To that same end, I also feel a rush of excitement and newness when I immediately follow it with “The Pilot.” It resets me, and I’m comforted to know that there are, once again, so many episodes and adventures ahead. You can tell me that Friends seems outdated because of its laugh track (it does), or that it would never have run for 10 seasons in today’s world (it wouldn’t have). You’re right, but I’m simply not interested in your assertion that those things make Friends a bad '90s sitcom. At its core, Friends is a show about relationships — platonic, caring, romantic — and that’s the singular concept that transcends generations and pulls in new audiences. The thing that people love so much about the show is right there in the theme song: “I’ll be there for you, ‘cause you’re there for me too.”

Relationship advice isn't one-size-fits-all, so it helps to get a range of opinions. And while we're huge fans of credentialed sex and relationship experts, sometimes you just need some real talk from women who've been there. That's why we've decided to draw from Refinery29's library of personal stories to glean some real-world advice. These are people who've been through specific romantic challenges and have come out of them wiser — and are happy to spread their newfound wisdom.

Several of them discovered unique ways to weather a breakup. Others found joy in adding a third person to their long-term relationship. And a few realized the bliss of opting not to Instagram stalk prospective dates. Whatever the story, their credentials come from blood-sweat-and-tears experience.

We've rounded up some of our favorite pieces of relationship advice from our arsenal of real-life experts. Click through for tips that will (with any luck) help you get through some common relationship challenges. And don't forget to check back, since we'll be adding new lessons regularly.

"For all the pain it had caused, cheating had taught me just how significant trust was in a relationship. Without it, there was no chance of building a meaningful and deep connection. I knew how easy it was to break that trust, and how difficult (if not impossible) it was to rebuild if it was lost. I held onto that trust in my newfound relationship as the single most important value, and protected it with everything I had."

"What Cheating Taught Me About Love" by Allison Hope

"My many relationships have fallen somewhere between a string of not-so-great first dates and being in love. I've enjoyed the fun aspects of being with a partner without being tied down to one person emotionally. And, since I don't have a top-notch memory, it also requires keeping a handy list in my phone."

"Do You Need A Dating Rotation?" by Caitlin Thornton

"But, when I'm down and out again, thankfully, I have amazing family and friends to turn to. People who will fly 3,000 miles to drink whiskey in PJs and discuss man's inherent morality while watching Catching Fire with me. People who understand that I will be a black cloud on a very, very sunny island and love me anyway. It may be cliché, but my people helped me survive, even when I didn't want, or couldn't bring myself, to talk. For the one relationship I lost, I've gained other deeper, more meaningful ones."

"What I Learned When My Boyfriend Cheated On Me" by Diana Nguyen

"The stress and anxiety of whether or not I should say it was too much. ‘I love you’ was constantly on the tip of my tongue, considering carefully whether to step out or not, like a kitten considering emerging from its crate into an unfamiliar room. So one night, I decided to just get out with it already."

"Why This Outdated Relationship Rule Needs To Die" by Vanessa Golembewski

"People are going to continue having sex, whether or not they’re married, above the age of 18, or monogamous — that won’t ever change. What could change is the way we learn and talk about sex so that we’re sex positive, equip with the knowledge that will help us avoid STIs, and seek help without guilt or shame if we do."

"I Only Had Sex With One Person & Got The Most Common STI" by Danielle Sepulveres

"My therapist once said: ‘If you have family members who are alcoholics, you have no choice but to stand by them. But dating an alcoholic is completely different: You choose to be in a relationship with an alcoholic, and that is one choice I would never recommend.’ I was two years into my relationship when she said this to me, but I wasn’t strong enough to leave until two more."

"What It's Like To Date A Closet Alcoholic" by Julissa Catalan

"When I shined the light of logic on my damaging self-beliefs — 'I have to be thin to be loved' and 'Being in your '30s equals being close to death and therefore irrelevant' — they didn’t do so well. These beliefs had nothing to do with the badass bitch I knew myself to be. They didn’t align with my core values, and I would never subject another woman to those platitudes."

"How Watching My Partner Date Other People Increased My Self-Worth" by Samia Mounts

"Deep down, we all know that quality wins over quantity every time, but when you're the one waiting on quality while your skinny friends have a million first dates, it's not an easy road."

"Is Online Dating Different For Plus-Size Women?" by Cece Olisa

"I'm only human, and that love was very real — maybe the realest one yet. It took him knowing me, it took me trusting him, it took us being honest with each other — all elements of a great friendship — to understand what the best version of our relationship can be right now. We’re two people who shared something special, and will always care about each other, but we can’t co-exist in a healthy way at the moment."

"Can You Really Stay Friends With An Ex?" by Christine Sulik

"Not only will I stop looking at the Instagram accounts of the people I am sleeping with (I'm talking about checking their tagged photos and their activity; it's fine to follow them like a normal person), but I also vow to stop inspecting their ex-girlfriend's Instagrams. And the girls whose photos they are 'liking.' It’s best to just not go there, or I end up reading into things too much."

"9 Dating & Sex Resolutions" by Martha Flynn

"Four weeks A.D. (After Dissolution), I had already exhausted a number of coping mechanisms: I had listened to the new Adele album, binge-watched Jessica Jones, and eaten cookies for dinner. But since my breakup, which happened to occur the day after I ran the New York City Marathon, the one self-care action I hadn’t been taking was working out."

"How ClassPass Helped Me Recover From An Awful Breakup" by Acacia O'Connor

"My partner, Ryan*, and I are non-monogamous. When we first opened things up two years ago, we both hooked up with people separately, but we were also eager to engage in our first threesome. This turned out to be a challenge."

"My Boyfriend & I Got A Girlfriend — & This Is What Happened" by Alicia Morgan

"It’s not that sex stopped. (We actually had sex even before we were supposed to, five weeks after our baby was born — and yes, I had an episiotomy.) It’s that it changed. Sex has been part of my life since I was a teenager and I was pretty confident that I knew what it felt like and how to do it. I was wrong."

"6 Things No One Tells You About Sex After Childbirth" by Claire Litton-Cohn

"I spent all my spare time with the two of them and quickly developed a sense of comfort within this new role. People would often presume I was her mother when we were out, and we all behaved as though I was. At two years old, she was still wearing nappies and learning how to form coherent sentences, so it was far easier for me to step into this type of relationship than if she’d been older. We were both developing new skills, and this helped to bond us."

"What I Learned From Falling In Love With A Single Father" by Katherine Phillips

"I went to three festivals this summer without him; I don't think he viewed my muddy Doc Martens with the slightest bit of resentment. But I’ve also had to learn to give more importance to quiet time, and to actually schedule them in. We may be opposites, but I'm still definitely attracted enough to my opposite to clear the diary for him."

"When You Love Going Out And Your Partner Loves Staying In" by Holly Williams

"Yes, it’s taking me longer than most people (or seemingly longer than all people) to meet someone. Luckily, the thing that keeps me from screaming at bare walls is patience. I stay sane thanks to the calm knowledge that the universe doesn’t owe me anything; I already have quite a lot, and I can wait for the rest."
